This Privacy Policy explains how Dhaka Property, including the buyer app, seller app, website, and related services, collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information of users in India.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to buyers, tenants, sellers, landlords, property owners, agents, brokers, channel partners, visitors, and registered users who use Dhaka Property services.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account details such as name, email address, phone number, role, profile photo, sign-in provider details, device identifiers, and notification tokens.
We may collect property and listing information such as property title, description, price, address, city, locality, location, photos, videos, documents, amenities, ownership or listing details, availability, and RERA registration details where provided.
We may collect usage, device, payment, subscription, enquiry, support, communication, and diagnostic information needed to run and improve the services.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, enable guest browsing and sign-in, show property listings and search results, connect buyers and sellers, manage listings, process memberships and orders, send service notifications, prevent fraud and abuse, improve app performance, provide support, and comply with law.
4. Consent and permissions
Where consent is required, you may withdraw consent through app settings, device permissions, unsubscribe options, or by contacting support. Some features may stop working if required permissions are withdrawn.
5. Sharing information
We may share information with buyers, tenants, sellers, owners, agents, brokers, service providers, payment providers, notification providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, support tools, regulators, courts, law enforcement, and other parties where needed to provide the services or comply with law.
We do not sell personal information as a standalone product.
6. Public listing information
Property listings may be visible publicly, including photos, location, price, description, amenities, seller or agent details, and other information submitted for publication. Do not upload information that you do not want publicly visible.
7. Location data
If you grant permission, we may use location data to show nearby properties, map results, city or locality search, distance-based recommendations, fraud prevention, and service availability.
8. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain records, and enforce agreements. Account deletion may be subject to legal, tax, audit, payment, security, and backup retention requirements.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, and users are responsible for keeping login credentials, OTPs, and devices safe.
10. User rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal for eligible personal data. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
11. Children
Dhaka Property is intended for users who can lawfully use real estate services or use them with appropriate consent. We do not knowingly target children.
12. Third-party services
The services may link to third-party maps, payment providers, social sign-in providers, communication tools, and listing partners. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be made available through the app, website, or metadata pages.
